A quite incredible barn stored ‘nigh on as new’ 2015 Land Rover Defender 90 Pick-Up, with less than 125 miles on the clock and just one owner, is going under the hammer.
The stunning example which exudes authenticity, and which has yet to see rain, will be auctioned by H&H Classics at its Kelham Hall Sale in Newark, Nottinghamshire, on Wednesday 18th March.
Aptly described as ‘one for the collector’ and boasting a deliberately ‘back to basics’ specification, while even retaining its factory-applied dealer allocation windscreen sticker, this highly desirable 11-year-old Land Rover is estimated at £50,000-£60,000.
It is also one of just 334 Land Rover Defender 90 Pick-Up TDs registered with the DVLA during 2015, just one year before final separate chassis Defender, a short wheelbase ‘90’ version with a full-length canvas tilt, rolled off the production line, further adding to its collectability.
Damian Jones, director at H&H Classics, said: “We’re thrilled to be auctioning such an amazing Land Rover that has been lovingly kept in a weather tight barn. It’s in almost untouched condition, despite being more than a decade old, meaning its lucky new owner has the tough decision of either completing the running in process or preserving its ‘nigh on as new’ condition!”
Even despite its ultra-low mileage and protected environment, chassis number SALLDWRP7FA474446, which sports non-metallic paint, cloth upholstery, steel wheels and manual transmission, has still lived a cosseted life to date, having been serviced twice and regularly MOT tested.
Damian added: “This special Land Rover, purchased out of nostalgia rather than necessity, was commissioned by the vendor as his own tribute to the Series 1 models he had grown up around and is only being offered for sale because he has a greater sentimental attachment to other Landies on his farm.
“This presents a wonderful opportunity to acquire a box-fresh, barn stored Single Cab Pick-Up that is sure to attract much interest from collectors and admirers from all around the world.”
The Defender is one of dozens of lots being offered in the auction with all vehicles available to view in person at Kelham Hall, Nottinghamshire, from midday on Tuesday 17th and from 9am on Wednesday 18th March, while the sale then commences at 12pm.
Anyone looking to bid on one of the lots can do so in person, online, by telephone or by leaving a commission bid, while for more details about any of the cars or to register to bid, visit www.handh.co.uk.
