Desirable models from prestigious British marques including Rolls-Royce, Jaguar, Aston Martin and Bentley are going under the hammer with H&H Classics at its final auction of 2025.
The sought-after homegrown classics will be offered for sale on Wednesday 3rd December at the Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire along with 100 other classic, collector and performance motorcars.
One of the standout home-produced models is a resplendent 1989 Rolls-Royce Corniche II Convertible, that is estimated at £110,000-£130,000.
Quite possibly the best Corniche II currently available, it is warranted to have covered a mere 33,000 miles from new. The stunning car would feel quite at home at a concours d’elegance, not least thanks to its classically handsome combination of Cobalt Blue Metallic with Parchment leather upholstery and a matching Everflex roof.
The auction is also expected to see strong interest from Jaguar enthusiasts and collectors for two particularly appealing examples.
The first of these is a stunning 1959 Jaguar XK150 S 3.4 Litre Fixed Head Coupé, subject to a ground-up, bare chassis restoration that was completed in 2023 at a cost of £230,000.
Estimated at £70,000-£90,000, it is one of just circa 86 right-hand drive 3.4-litre ‘S’ variants produced and is beautifully presented in its original colour scheme of Cotswold Blue with a Dark Blue interior.
It will be joined at the H&H Classics auction by a remarkable 1970 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 Roadster, expected to fetch between £60,000- £80,000. Subject to a photographically documented restoration costing more than £100,000, it benefits from 123 electronic ignition and has been repainted in the attractive colour scheme of Indigo Blue over a Beige leather interior, with a Black mohair hood.
James McWilliam, sales manager at H&H Classics, said: “It’s fitting that the famous British motor venue of Millbrook will host our auction containing some highly collectible homegrown classics.”
Aston Martin aficionados will have a keen eye on a 1963 Aston Martin Lagonda Rapide, one of only 55 Rapides made. Comprehensively restored by Aston Martin Works in the 1980s, it has been given a guide price of £60,000-£70,000.
Bentley takes pride of place with a 1971 Bentley Corniche Fixedhead Coupe, estimated at £50,000-£60,000. It is understood to be one of just 47 MPW Coupés made and has been subject to an extensive mechanical and body refurbishment from 2012-2018 at the cost of around £80,000.
Meanwhile, a more modern British offering comes in the form of a 2000 Lotus Elise S1 Type 49.Estimated at £18,000-£22,000, it is one of just 92 special edition ‘Type 49” Elise S1s supplied in the original ‘Gold Leaf’ paint livery and has covered just 27,000 miles from new.
All lots will be available to view in person at the Millbrook Proving Ground, Bedfordshire, from midday on Tuesday 2nd and from 9am on Wednesday 3rd December, while the sale then commences at 12pm.
Anyone looking to bid on one of the lots can do so in person, online, by telephone or by leaving a commission bid, while for more details about any of the cars or to register to bid, visit www.handh.co.uk.
