A ‘brand new’ Porsche 911 Carrera 4S offering the potential to save almost 40 percent against current dealer prices, is up for auction later this month. Estimated at £60,000 - £70,000, the 2002 Porsche has a mere 630 miles on the clock and will be going under the hammer at H&H Classics’ auction on 15 March at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford.
Despite its age, the ultra-low mileage car is finished in the unusual hue of Carrera White, making it one of the rarest and low mileage 996 Carrera 4S’ in the county.
“This car is simply outstanding,” comments James McWilliam, senior motorcar specialist, H&H Classics. “It’s a real rarity to find a 20-year-old car in such a pristine condition and having covered only 630 miles. The mileage alone makes this 911 a real collector’s item.
“In recent years we have certainly seen an increased demand for more modern classics, with younger bidders looking to acquire vehicles they dreamed after in the 80s, 90s and early noughties. The Carrera 4S is considered by many to be the ‘sweet spot’ in the 911 996 range, offering better grip and road performance than the narrow-bodied Carrera, but more refinement than the track focussed GT2 and GT3 variants” added McWilliam.
The car comes with the original owner’s wallet, handbook and service book provided by Porsche back in 2002.
The classic, collector and performance car auction takes place at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford on 15 March, with viewing available on Tuesday 14 March. Bidding can be done online, via telephone, or in person. To view the lot details for the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S, click here, or for more information about upcoming auctions, visit www.handh.co.uk
