Lot details Registration No: BBK 572 Chassis No: VA1026T Mot Expiry: Exempt
'BBK 572' was first registered on January 16th 1938 and purchased by Roy Jarvis in Newmarket during 1972. A somewhat protracted but sympathetic restoration followed in between his family and work commitments. The current engine is an overhauled unit sourced from a VA Saloon, the machining of which was carried out by Wicken Crankshaft Co., while the carburettors were refurbished by the Carburettor Exchange of Leighton Buzzard. This rare and desirable MG is finished in Reliant Champagne (Cream) and trimmed in Blue leather. It featured on the cover of The Automobile magazine (May 1992 issue) and is now being offered complete with a history file that includes the old buff log book. Mr Jarvis's family views the car's bodywork, interior trim and four-cylinder engine as 'excellent' and the paintwork and four-speed manual gearbox as 'very good'. 'BBK 572' was last taxed to June 2013 and currently displays an unwarranted 24,525 miles.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
