Lot details Registration No: Un-Reg Engine No: B400B4141 cc: 350
Developed from the unit 250cc C15, the B40 350cc single offered greater flexibility and power output without an increase in weight when compared to the smaller engine. The release of a large number of ex military B40's during the early eighties coincided with a growing interest in Pre 65 trials resulting in many of them being modified to trials specification. Tth B40 continues to be a favourite in the pre 65 trials world and is well supported by specialist suppliers.
This example was built during 1996-97 around a Terry Weedy frame and is equipped with Rickman hubs, alloy fuel and oil tanks, alloy rims and mudguards and a competition air filter.
The engine and gearbox were not restored at the time of the rebuild and, according to the vendor "would probably require a rebuild for a perfectionist" but are "ok", in all other respects the machine is described as being in very good condition not having been used since the rebuild.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
