Lot details Registration No: XBY376F Chassis No: 770692001852034 Mot Expiry: Nov 2005
This late entered Porsche 912, which therefore missed our catalogue print deadline, first left the Stuttgart factory in 1967 for the US, from where it was imported in November 2003 and UK-registered with age-appropriate XBY 376F registration.
Within the past twelve months, the left-hand drive coupe has been in receipt of over £8000 expenditure with Classic Car Restorations in Norwich. The 1582cc four-cylinder air-cooled engine was rebuilt, complete front section underneath renewed, floor pan restored, steering rack replaced and brake calipers reconditioned. As a result, the current condition of the two-door fixed head bodywork is reportedly very good, white paintwork good, Fuchs alloys very good, black leather interior good and 5-speed manual transmission in good order.
On file is claimed to be extensive history going back to 1980 as well as current MOT and tax disc valid to the end of November and January 2006 respectively. The 108,000 mileage displayed when entered for this sale is believed by the vendor to be the genuine total from new. You should also be aware that this 912 is going under the H&H hammer today entirely without reserve.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
