Lot details Registration No: JD 6025 Chassis No: 43449/16 Mot Expiry: Mar 2005
Late entered, and therefore not received in time to be included in our main catalogue for this sale, is this pre-war Austin, which first left the Longbridge works in 1935. The right-hand drive saloon, a four-door long-wheelbase saloon and therefore appropriate for weddings work, regained the original period JD 6025 registration from the DVLC 28 March 1994.
We understand from the entrant that the Birmingham classic was well stored for approximately fifty years. The current condition of the chassis is claimed to be good, the body panels also good and the black and maroon paintwork fair, while the black leather interior has been reupholstered. The 2269cc six-cylinder motor is said to have been partly reconditioned and the four-speed manual gearbox and the electrical items are reportedly in good order. The MOT is valid until next March.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
