Lot details Registration No: A773WFW Chassis No: 2480142 Mot Expiry: Aug 2007
Introduced in 1971, the 2000 Veloce was the quickest Alfa Romeo Spider yet. Equipped with all round independent suspension, disc brakes and a five-speed manual gearbox, it put the extra power and torque developed by its enlarged 1962cc four-cylinder 'twin-cam' engine to good use. Reputedly capable of over 120mph, it gained 'occasional use' rear seats in 1975 as part of a continual development program.
Finished in silver with blue leather upholstery, this particular right-hand drive example is variously described by the vendor as being in "good" (five-speed manual gearbox, bodywork, wheels / tyres) or "very good" (1962cc engine, electrical equipment, interior trim, chassis, paintwork) condition. Said to have had "seven former keepers", 'A773 WFW' is believed but not warranted to have covered 95,000 miles from new. Reportedly "kept in special dry storage for fifteen months" due to its owner being abroad, the Alfa is offered for sale with history file and MOT certificate valid until August 2007.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
