Colin Seeley started to manufacture G50 and 7R powered machines utilising frames of his own design during 1966 and took the bold step of purchasing the AMC racing department in 1967 following AMC's announcement that they were closing the department. The success of his products throughout the late sixties and early seventies established the design as one of the most desirable for those wishing to compete in classic events today with a number of manufacturers producing the necessary components.
This example was built in 2004 and raced at the INCA event supporting that years Donnington Park Moto GP, finishing fifth on its first outing. It subsequently raced in the Manx GP setting a 98mph lap, and won the 2005 INCA Classic World Series Round at the Salzburg in the hands of former British and European Champion rider Peter Wild.
The engine and gearbox underwent a complete rebuild during 2006 prior to the machine finishing 5th at the Post TT meeting. Described, as being in good condition cosmetically this is a well-developed and competitive example ready to resume its competition career.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
