According to the entrant of this 380SL, which first left the Mercedes-Benz Stuttgart factory in 1981, the righthand drive roadster has only had two former keepers since 1981. In the car's documents file is service history from 1990, this work having been carried out by Mercedes-Benz main dealers.
Claimed to be an exceptional example of this classic German, this particular car offers a buyer the benefit of having rear seating as well as being in possession of both a new soft-top hood and factory-supplied hardtop, therefore offering an owner the best of both worlds.
The current condition of bodywork and red paintwork is described as being very good and the beige leather interior is rated as being in the same state. The 3.8-litre 8-cylinder petrol engine is reportedly in very good order, too, as is all the electrical equipment. A 3-speed automatic transmission is fitted, whilst the 89,000 miles displayed on the odometer when entered for this auction is believed by the vendor to be the genuine total mileage driven in this car from new.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
