In need of restoration 'MM 6698' was supplied new to Sir Harry Peat, whose father helped found KPMG, and was reconfigured as a pick-up during WW2. Having had five owners from new the Morris was bought by the vendor in 1962 while a student living in London. Now offered as a stalled restoration project, included in the sale are an original handbook, period photographs, box of sundry parts, the last MOT when on the road dated 1967 to 1968, current V5C and a spare set of tyres. The vendor informs us that he removed the wagon body and hand built a wooden boat tail to simulate the dickey seat. He further states that the nearside front wing and temperature gauge are missing, one front headlight is in need of attention and that the registration number 'MM 6698' makes it suitable for an 18th birthday present this year for someone born on 6th June 1998.
PLEASE NOTE: This vehicle was not owned by an Olympic medallist as stated in the catalogue, and it was in fact Lot 69.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
