Lot details Registration No: F760NFC Chassis No: ZLA831AB000456203 Mot Expiry: Sept 2006
The most successful rally entrant of the last decade, the Lancia Delta Integrale enjoys a justifiable reputation as a fantastic driver's car. Marrying speed with agility, its comparatively short wheelbase, all-round independent suspension, disc brakes, permanent four-wheel drive and turbo-charged 1995cc DOHC four-cylinder engine mean that point-to-point it is still singularly difficult to catch. Credited with 185bhp and 224lbft of torque in standard tune, the 8-valve variant was reputedly capable of 0-60mph in 6.5 seconds and 128mph.
Finished in red with grey cloth upholstery, this particular example is rated by the vendor as follows: engine ("solid, strong, reliable"), five-speed gearbox ("smooth, strong, good"), electrical equipment ("up to good standard"), interior trim ("good"), chassis ("clean, strong"), bodywork ("well above average"), paintwork ("good but work needed") and wheels / tyres ("good"). To left-hand drive specification (Lancia never made a RHD Integrale) it was "imported to the UK in 1989". Said to have been "tuned over the years", it boasts a "lowered front end, stiffer springs and wider 7-inch front wheels", while its "re-chipped engine" has seemingly been upgraded with "K.N. induction, dump valve and super sprint exhaust". Reputed "to produce just over 200bhp", the unit is thought to be "the original of 8-valve configuration". Understood to have benefited from "many new parts in the last few months" such as "cambelts & pulleys, starter, alternator, turbo feed etc", the Integrale sports a "recently fitted works type rear spoiler". Reported to possess "a good record of service history from new" with the majority of stamps being either "dealer or specialist" imprints, its history file also includes "the original sales brochure, MOTs back to 1999" and "many bills both recent and past". Citing his participation in the 2004 Curborough Sprint Championship as proof that the Lancia was "up to a good mechanical scrutineering standard"; the seller adds that "this car is in need of small cosmetic work to bring it to a high standard". Believed but not warranted to have covered 155,300kms (approximately 97,000miles) from new, this subtly modified HF is offered for sale with MOT certificate valid until September 14th 2006 and road tax until 31st August 2006.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
