This 1977-built MGB GT is claimed by the entrant to be in original condition with much paperwork available for your inspection dating back from new. For apart from lots of service bills detailing work carried out over the years, there are no less than fifteen former MOTs - the first, for 1984, recording the mileage reading as being only 198 miles.
The possible reason for this slow start in life was that, for the first seven years of its life, the fixed head was dry-stored, possibly for future investment. Even now, the mileage is low. For when entered, there were still only 22,200 miles displayed, which is believed by the vendor to be the genuine total.
The current condition of the bodyshell, above and below, as well as the paintwork in original Vermilion Red and grey cloth interior, are described as by the vendor as being excellent. The same goes for the 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine and four-speed manual gearbox, both of which are said to be in excellent order too. With MOT freshly passed, a re-test will not be required until next November.
