Lot details Registration No: H7 AMV Chassis No: SCFCAM157MBR50207 Mot Expiry: Jan 2006
After almost twenty years in production, Aston Martin's V8 was extensively updated as the Virage for the 1988 Birmingham Show. The narrower body with increased interior space was styled by Ken Greenley and John Heffernan.
If you are considering a Virage, look no further than this Aston Martin Owners Club member owned coupe. For not only has this 1991-built example full service history, the last £1468 service carried out 11 March of this year, but the right-hand drive fixed head also has the much rarer and more sought after five-speed manual dog-leg transmission.
Said to have cost over £140,000 when new fourteen years ago, H7 AMV (a cherished registration which is itself worth some £4000, says the entrant) has a really super specification with electrically-adjustable, memory-equipped and heated seats, climate control and a CD player with ten-disc stack unit. Included with the Aston are £1000s worth of bills detailing work carried out as well as original handbooks and service pack.
Currently, the two-door bodyshell, both chassis and panels, is described by the vendor as being in excellent condition. The paintwork in Balmoral Green and the Sand leather trimmed interior are said to be excellent, whilst the 5340cc eight-cylinder motor and five-speed gearbox are reportedly also in excellent order.
The 49,000 miles displayed when entered for this sale is believed by him to be the total mileage for the Newport Pagnell built supercar from new, whilst the latest MOT certificate and current tax disc on the screen will be valid until next January.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
