In 1975 Ferrari had introduced a 2.0-litre version of the Dino 308GT4 - the 208GT4 - to take advantage of the Italian market's vehicle taxation system, and it did the same following the introduction of the successor 308 GTB and GTS models in 1980. The 208 GTB and GTS used the same V8 engine, with reduced bore size for a capacity of 1,991cc which was Ferrari’s solution to avoid Italy’s 38-percent VAT on cars with engines over 2.0 liters. By the time they were superseded by Turbo versions in 1982, a total of 140 GTB and 160 GTS models had been completed. Finished in the classic Ferrari combination of Rosso Corsa matched to a Cream leather interior ‘SVR532W’ was first registered in 1981 in Italy and is understood to have remained in its home country until 2015 when it was imported into the UK. Displaying just 21,907 kms (13,600) miles this 208 has been in current ownership since 2015 and has been subject to a belt change and service last year. Offered with owners wallet, handbook and service book plus a collection of invoices including work carried out by Rosso Corsa Ltd in 1995 when the mileage was recorded at 10,613 kms. Currently graded by the vendor in regards to the engine, transmission, electrical equipment as ‘Excellent’ with the bodywork, paintwork and interior as ‘Very Good’ ‘SVR532W’ is understood to possess a fresh MOT by the time of sale.

Vendor Condition Ratings:

Bodywork: 'Very Good’
Engine: 'Excellent'
Electrical Equipment: 'Excellent'
Paintwork: ‘Very Good'
Gearbox: 'Excellent'
Interior Trim: 'Very Good'
