The Ipotesi (Hypothesis) was first seen by the public as a styling study at the 1973 Milan Motorcycle Show and represented the last of a long line of middleweight twins. Styled by Giorgio Giugiaro utilizing strong horizontal lines it entered production in 1975 establishing itself quickly as a desirable machine. The open duplex frame housed a twin cylinder engine that had undergone a thorough redesign externally but retained the proven internals of the preceding model. A triple disc braking system was an unusual feature for a machine in the Ipotesi's class.
This example has, according to the vendor, been the subject of a full restoration. The engine has been rebuilt, the electrics and cycle parts are described as being in good condition with perfect paintwork and brightwork.
PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately the centre stand spindle sheared whilst the machine was being transported to the sale venue.
