This MGC was made in 1969, though the always right-hand drive roadster was restored it is believed by specialists the Rugby MG Centre before acquisition by a friend of the entrant in late 1994. He became the registered keeper of the open two-door in August 1997.
Since restoration, he reckons XEH 804G has only been driven in the dry and always dry garaged, indeed the 57,000 miles indicated when entered are believed by the vendor to be the genuine total, while despite low mileage regular servicing has been carried out. The 2912cc six-cylinder engine has been converted to run on unleaded and the cavities in the body box-sections treated with Supertrol anti-rust treatment and a thorough re-undersealing completed in 2003.
Bodyshell condition is described as good, panels and green paintwork very good, silver painted wires and black vinyl trim good, and leather seats showing some wear, whilst 3-litre engine, four-speed gearbox and electrical equipment are reportedly in good order. Apart from soft top, rated as excellent, also included are full/half tonneau, cloth car cover, four axle stands, workshop manual and owners handbook. The latest MOT certificate will be valid until the end of November.
