Lot details Registration No: KJX944G Chassis No: CC28250L Mot Expiry: May 2006
This TR6, which first left the Triumph works in 1969, was purchased by the last keeper thirteen years ago shortly after arriving home from California and having been converted from left to right-hand drive. Since this acquisition, the open two-door convertible has been in receipt of regular maintenance and any servicing required, the clutch assembly only recently having been renewed.
Due to what has only been some 5000 miles of driving since acquisition however, and increasingly infrequent use in recent months, the owner decided to part with it and, as a result, KJX 944G crosses the auction block today having just passed the MOT, the latest certificate being valid until next May.
We are told the open two-seater bodywork is good underneath with panels sound and red paintwork clean and tidy, while black leather cloth trim is also rated as sound. The 2½-litre six-cylinder engine is reportedly in good order as are four-speed manual gearbox and electrical equipment. Good looking, and with no shortage of marque specialists and good spares availability, a TR6 is entirely practical to own and enjoy.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
