Lot details Registration No: LGF362N Chassis No: SBH21475 Mot Expiry: March 2004
For the 1965 Motor Show season, Rolls-Royce Motors launched their new and unitary-construction saloon with R-R or Bentley grilles and badges according to whether an R-R Shadow I or Bentley T1 was chosen.
The 1975-built Bentley T1 being auctioned here was previously owned 1989-1999, since when to has been in the hands of the Derbyshire vendor, who tells us that it benefits from having Harvey Bailey rear suspension mods. On file are all invoices detailing work carried out as well as a record of all earlier services in the service book.
The saloon bodywork is said to be undamaged with the paintwork in Moorlands Green fair. The beige leather within is in good condition with no splits and though the front carpets are worn, the rear carpets and headlining are good. The 6750cc V8 runs well apparently and, according to the paperwork described above, has been regularly serviced, whilst the 3-speed automatic transmission is reportedly quiet and sound, and there are no known defects with the electrical equipment. The MOT is current until next March.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
