This 1961 MGA coupe was completely restored by the late owner in 1986, the work clearly being done to a high standard as seen with the detailed underbonnet area. The 6364 miles displayed on the odometer would indicate that the odometer has been zeroed at some time, most probably during the rebuild.
The current condition of the fixed head bodywork, the Old English White paintwork, the brown leather interior piped in light brown, brown carpets and white headlining, both renewed, and Motalita steering wheel is described as being good. Whilst the 1.6-litre 4-cylinder motor, all the electrical equipment and the 4-speed manual gearbox are reportedly in good order. Following a period in storage, however, although the door fit is still satisfactory, some minor pitting to the chrome on the wire wheels and rear bumper has occurred.
The Abingdon-built coupe comes with a pair of Lucas spotlights, four car badges, three MG and one VSCC, on a badge-bar and chrome boot-mounted extra luggage rack as well as various receipts, manuals and photos charting restoration work carried out.
