Lot details Registration No: JVU 33N Chassis No: 2771008 Mot Expiry: March 2005
The 2002 was manufactured in Munich from 1968 until 1975. Essentially, the 2002 consists of the 2000 motor in the 1602 bodyshell, either a 2-door booted saloon, a 2-door cabriolet by coachbuilders Baur or a 3-door hatchback called the Touring. An impressive total of 348,988 2002s were made. The model helped to broaden the Bavarian marque's appeal and make them the world player they have become today, making Minis and Williams F1 engines.
We understand from the vendor of this 2002Tii, a righthand drive car manufactured in Munich in 1975, that the 2-door sports saloon has been in receipt of much recent restoration work including renewal of inner wings, bonnet, sills, inner sills and floor sections. The current general condition of this Bavarian classic, finished in red with black interior, is described as good, the service history extensive and there are lots of bills on file detailing work carried out. The 99,000 kilometres displayed when entered for this sale is believed by the vendor to be the correct total for this car from new.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
