Lot details Registration No: BNE533N Chassis No: FH61944 Mot Expiry: May 2003
Triumph was taken over by Standard in 1944 but became the dominant partner by the 1960's. The Spitfire was introduced in 1962 and continued through until the end of the line because the dismantling of the Company was swift, post nationalisation, and the marque died out in 1980.
This 1974 example is a Mark IV and was a husband and wife partnership from new and since then it has had just one other private owner. There is a comprehensive history file with the car which details the restoration during which we believe there has been some £5500 spent and it is now in excellent condition throughout and comes with the handbook and many past MOT certificates which confirm the mileage as correct at 90000 miles from new.
Rare to find them in this condition it will stand the closest of inspections and is sold with its V5 registration document and a current MOT certificate until May next year.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
