Further info:
Morris's ubiquitous Minor, especially in Traveller guise, was popular with the armed forces and `NEU 101R' was purchased new by the Ministry of Defence in 1971. According to accompanying documentation it appears to have served in various departments of the RAF (eg Chaplain's Branch, Admin Support and Mechanical Services) before being demobbed and purchased by the well-known Morris Minor Centre in 1978. At this point it had covered 27,000 miles and they initially sold it to a market gardener's wife, Mrs Richards, before repurchasing it in 1983, overhauling it, and selling it to a Tom Allen of London. Sixteen years later, he paid them to carry out £3,073.74 worth of restoration on the car. Finished in Blue and trimmed in Grey, the Minor benefits from having a brake servo and front discs. The front seats have been recently re-trimmed and `NEU 101R' is now being sold with sundry invoices and old MOTs.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
