We are now pleased to offer you what, statistically, is the most popular of all the practical to own classics and also presented in the definitive spec. For here is an MGB roadster finished in Tartan red with black leather seats on wire wheels. First manufactured at Abingdon and also registered in 1969, this very British sportscar underwent a restoration in the early 1990s and then underwent further recommissioning in 1997.
Apart from wires, it has a Mota-Lita steering wheel with leather-covered rim - what else! The interior, which is described by the vendor as being in very good order indeed, has only recently been retrimmed too.
It comes with an engineer's report from Wirral MG specialists J&R Motors, who carried out their very detailed inspection in 1997, the car only having been driven 9000 miles since. The mileage indicated when entered for the sale was reportedly 60,000 miles, which the entrant believes to be the genuine total covered since new.
Although not a concours car, this B would appear to be extremely sound and provides you with an ideal opportunity to acquire a chrome-bumpered roadster, and a genuine UK car too, for an end of season price. It must be worth buying to lay down in your motor house during the off-season so that it can be opened up and enjoyed in the spring.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
