The H2 was one of eight models offered by AJS for the 1927 season and together with the slightly more elaborately equipped H1 was at the pinnacle of the AJS range. The model featured 799cc vee twin side valve engine coupled to a three speed gearbox with chain primary and final drives. Potential owners could choose from a range of eight sidecars, produced by C.W. Hayward, by 1927 a wholly owned subsidiary of AJS. The H2 was fitted with a magneto unlike the H1 which was fitted with a magdyno providing electric lighting and accounting for its higher list price of £95 compared to £80 for the H2. If ordered without a sidecar attached the two machines would cost £73 and £63 respectively.
The example offered has been in the same family ownership since the 1950's and was restored during the 1980's. It is described as being in both good cosmetic and mechanical condition and is offered with a Swansea V5C.
