Sir William Lyons started his company out as a sidecar manufacturer initially and from the Swallow coach building company evolved S.S. Cars Ltd. After the war the company was renamed Jaguar Cars Ltd and the rest, as they say, is history. In production for just over four years, the Jaguar XJC V12 coupe was one of the rarest of the Jaguar breed and this is quite possibly because it was one of the most expensive cars on the road at the time.
We are pleased to offer the XJ two door coupe which dates from 1975 and is finished in silver with black leather upholstery. The odometer of 53,000 miles is believed to be genuine from new and it comes with 5343cc twelve-cylinder petrol engine and the automatic transmission.
It has been privately owned by the vendor for the last twenty years and we are informed that it is very good condition throughout and should give the new owner as much pleasure, for as long, as the last owner.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
