This charming little righthand drive estate was acquired by second owner Mrs Carol Dockwray on 27 October 1979, the Mini 'woodie' being totally restored by her husband John over twenty-two years. Renovation is claimed to have been done to a high standard with particular care taken to replicate original specification.
Indeed, the standard of restoration was acknowledged by a Best Mini at Tatton Park Award in August 2002 as well as Classic Car Mart running a three-page article in September 2003. Invoices for parts, together with this article, are included among the car's paperwork which may be inspected in our documents office at Buxton.
This lot represents a rare opportunity to secure a Mk2 Morris Mini Traveller, not only delightful to own and enjoy, but also an asset with potential for some modest appreciation. Current cosmetic and mechanical condition is described as excellent. It has full twelve months road tax and MOT certificate valid until next August, whilst the 61,599 mileage displayed when entered is believed by the entrant to be the genuine total.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
