Further Info:
What makes this particular Austin 7 stand out from the crowd is that it is a very rare fabric-bodied 'RK' example, first registered in Chichester in 1929 to a lady who kept the car right up to the early 1960s. According to the buff log book accompanying the Austin 7 the car lived in the Chichester area right up to 1964. It would appear according to the history file that the car spent something like 18 years in storage. At some point in the 1990s and early 2000s the car was subject to a ground up restoration, a photographic record of which is in the history file. It would appear that the car has since gone through a recommissioning and has been used very sparingly ever since. The history file contains a bill for the recommissioning totalling in excess of £1500. It would also appear that the car has had just 4 owners since its rejuvenation with at least one of these being a dealer. The Seven has recently been treated to a new 6 volt battery.
