Lot details Registration No: XYY366F Chassis No: AR654037 Mot Expiry: Jan 2013
The boxy shape of the 105 Series Giulias belied a low drag coefficient superior to that of similarly aged Porsche 911s, while ample power was provided by 1300cc and 1600cc versions of the company's ubiquitous all-alloy, DOHC, four-cylinder engine. The Giulia 1300Ti (Turismo Internazionale) variant first saw the light of day in 1966 and was propelled by a mildly detuned version of that from the GT1300 Junior Coupe.
This left-hand drive Cobalt Blue Giulia 1300 Ti Saloon was manufactured in November 1967 and delivered new to its first keeper in Como, Italy just 14 days later. Its first change of ownership occurred on its importation to the UK during the April of 2006. It has most recently been the property of a pair of Wiltshire-based brothers who treated it to regular use in Britain and for trips to France and Italy. The Alfa has apparently never required full restoration, though has benefited from engine overhauls in both 2006 and 2010 and the fitment of a Giulia 1600 rear axle. 'XYY 366F' is now offered complete with an extensive history file that includes: invoices for repairs totalling over £20,000, its original Italian registration document, service book and a 1967 Alfa dealership directory. An attractive, unmolested example complete with original Covar dealer sticker.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
