A cast ashtray, produced in 1922 under the instruction of J.A. Joyce for each of his team of approximately 6 or 8 men after driving his 1496cc AC at Brooklands, being the first light car to cover 100 miles in the hour. Cast in the shape of the Brooklands track with illustration of AC in relief to centre & relief text to reverse side. This example was Mr Joyce's own ashtray & was purchased directly from his daughter by the vendor in 1986. Not to be confused with the common reproductions & one of only two known examples within the AC club.
