The delightful and highly-presentable right-hand drive 500A on offer is finished in Grey matched to Blue interior trim, and is apparently well known in Topolino circles, and much admired wherever it goes. Believed to have been in previous long term ownership `FGX 228' has remained within current ownership since 2004 and benefited from a re-trim that included new seats and carpets. The vendor understandably now regards that area of the car as `very good' and puts the bodywork and paintwork in the same category. The Fiat comes complete with a large history file that includes workshop manuals, invoices, photographs and a continuation green logbook - a few spares are available by separate negotiation. Measuring a mere 127 x 50in, the Fiat 500 `Topolino' (little mouse in Italian) was the world's smallest production car when unveiled in June 1936. Though somewhat dearer than originally envisaged at 8,900 lira, it nevertheless fulfilled its promise of bringing motoring to the Italian masses.
