Believed mid 1960s, two piece type, in woven pale blue with darker stripe to sides, zip fastening with button at top, features 'Dunlop, 'Esso', 'Lotus' and 'GPDA' patches attached. Offered in good condition, with some light staining, together with a photograph of the former owner wearing them at a fancy dress party in 1965.
These overalls were reputedly given by Jim Clark to the motor racing fanatical son of his accountant and friend Christopher Weir; Clark later also gave him the early GPDA badge which was subsequently sown onto the overalls. An important piece of motoring history.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
