Lot details Registration No: VPE 389 Chassis No: 25614 Mot Expiry: Exempt
The Alvis TC 21/100 or 'Grey Lady' was an upgrade on the standard TC 21 and featured raised compression and final drive ratios, wire wheels, fog lamps, bonnet scoops and a heater - a radio was an optional extra. As tested by The Motor in 1954, a Saloon version achieved the 0-60mph dash in a creditable 15.4 seconds and just topped the magic 100mph flat out. The right-hand drive sale car has been in its present ownership since 1960, where it has remained in regular use. Evidently it has recently been treated to a set of new wire wheels and tubeless tyres, and is now regarded by the vendor as having "good/fair" bodywork, "poor" Grey paintwork and Pale Blue/Grey interior trim, and "good" 2993cc six-cylinder engine and four-speed manual gearbox. The odometer currently registers an unwarranted 61,658 miles and the Alvis is taxed until the end of August next year.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
