Rolls-Royce is one of the most admired car manufacturers in the world and all their pre-war cars were superbly made and highly refined. They acquired Bentley Motors in 1931 and have supplied cars to the Royal Family virtually since the car was invented.
The Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud 3 comes with the eight-cylinder engine and our present example was first registered in 1964 by Lady Olivia Holland who lived in West Sussex. The car was chauffeur driven and kept until her husband died in about 1970 when a gentleman in West Norwood bought it. It was still chauffeured but the chauffeur could not handle the car and so rather amazingly the family decided to change the car and not the chauffeur. It was exported to California with one owner but returned in the mid 1980's and the present owner bought it in November 1991. It has only completed some 2000 miles during that time, but has always been cherished and it has been serviced on a regular basis.
It is truly lovely condition throughout, one of the best we have seen for some time, and this is just quite simply a very genuinely good car, which is ready to give many years of exemplary service to its new owner.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
