Lot details Registration No: 485 UXL Chassis No: 22264 Mot Expiry: Exempt
The TA14 was Alvis's first post-WW2 offering. It was available in four-door Saloon or two-door Drophead Coupe guise, and powered by a four-cylinder engine of 1892cc - some 3,311 examples were produced during the four years of production. The vendor informs us that '485 UXL' was restored in the 1990s, following which it was used until 2005 before being placed in storage, from which it was recently removed and treated to some light recommissioning. The Drophead features Red over Black paintwork allied to Red leather upholstery. According to the vendor, the Alvis "drives very well, with good brakes and is a very usable vehicle". In summary he classifies the bodywork, paintwork, interior trim, four-cylinder engine and four-speed manual gearbox as all being "OK", and reckons that "with a little more work the TA14 could be very good and a sound investment". It comes complete with a fresh MOT.
PLEASE NOTE: This vehicle does not have an MOT.
