Lot details Registration No: LWT 24P Chassis No: WP0ZZZ91ZGS100429 Mot Expiry: Feb 2014
The subject of a feature article in Total 911 magazine (issue 56), 'LWT 24P' was converted into a 2.8 RSR lookalike by marque specialist RS 911 of Llanidloes ahead of the aborted 2008 Cannonball 8000 Rally. Based on a 1985 Carrera 3.2 donor, it sports a RSR-type half rollcage, steel bonnet / wings, GRP duck tail, leather bucket seats, 1972-vintage Cibie spotlamps and authentic-looking 11J front / 15J rear Fuchs alloys. Reportedly treated to a new Sachs Power clutch, alternator, fuel pump, Bilstein Dampers and Turbo tie rods during Autumn 2007, the Porsche is also understood to have had its Type 915 five-speed gearbox and 3.2 litre engine overhauled by JZ Machtech. Boasting a Steve Wong chip and free-flowing exhaust system, the flat-six is estimated to produce 245bhp. Said to be a thrilling drive, 'LWT 24P' is offered for sale with extensive history file and current MOT / tax disc.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
