- Finished in its rare original colour of Ascot Green with optional sport look, and a black leather and vinyl interior

- Imported to the UK from Germany in 1982 and believed to have covered just 19,000 miles since

- Just 67,100 recorded kilometres (41,700 miles) and a top-end engine rejuvenation was carried out 16,000 miles ago

We are indebted to the vendor for the following description:

"Launched in 1963 it wasn't until 1974 that the first big change to the appearance of the Porsche 911 occurred. The US federal government announced they wanted to clean up emissions and increase crash protection for cars sold in their states. Porsches response was to fit larger impact bumpers and a new range of engines with increased capacity to 2.7 litres and K Jetronic fuel injection. The standard models actually produced slightly less BHP than the mechanically injected cars they replaced, but offered smoother performance with improved torque, fuel economy and reliability. The slim body and chrome details of the predecessor remained in standard models whilst the interior was enhanced for increased comfort. For 1976 a 3.0 version was produced called the Carrera 3.0, and on the sport variants the chrome details were replaced with coloured coded headlamp bezels, and black window frames which instantly gave the 911 a sportier look. Fast forward 40 years and good examples of these slim body 911s offer period looks with smooth reliable power units ensuring dependable classic motoring for a fraction of the outlay of their predecessors.

On sale today is a late model narrow body LHD 911 finished in its original rare colour of Ascot Green with optional black sport look. Supplied new in 1976 it featured a galvanised body and was imported to the UK from Germany in 1982. Although the current mileage of 67,089KMS (42,000 miles) cannot be warranted, MOTs and service history with the car suggest it has covered no more 19,000 miles since importation. Most relevantly the engine received a top end rebuild and a new clutch in September 1990 and the car is believed to have covered just 26,000KMS (16,000 miles) since. The 911 is supplied with 12 months MOT and will be driven to the sale. All gears function correctly, the engine runs at the recommended oil pressure and the vendor describes this as a very solid 911 with good paintwork and mechanicals with an excellent black interior."
