Aston Martin launched the DBS in 1967, at first with the old DB6 engine but later, as they had always intended, with the 5.3 litre V8 that arrived two years later. They immediately entered the supercar status delivering 345bhp and they were capable of 160 mph. When Company Developments acquired the company in 1972, the Series II was introduced and was known simply as the 'Aston Martin V8'.
The superb example we have on offer for you today has only had four owners from new including the present Belgian owner. It has the highly desirable five speed manual transmission and the later Weber carburettors, instead of the previous and much-hated fuel injection arrangement. It also has a glorious blue bodywork with a complementary dark blue leather interior and Aston Services of Dorset have been responsible for looking after this car for much of its life.
This is then a supercar in every sense of the word. It is in extremely good condition throughout and it has a lovely history and in truth ought to be worth considerably more than the estimate price at our sale today.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
