Enzo Ferrari's world famous road and competition cars were made initially in Modena itself and, since during WW2, at nearby Maranello, from where their totally dominant F1s set off to conquer the GP car opposition so effectively on TV most weekends throughout the summer. Because of their continued high profile success in recent seasons, Ferrari has become THE marque of the motor enthusiast to own. As a result of the achievements of Schumey and Co, Ferrari road cars have nearly all appreciated.
This 1987-built 328 GTB, a righthand drive Berlinetta, was first supplied in August 1989 by Graypaul who also carried out services at 1932 miles and again at 6337 miles. Subsequently, we understand that Birmingham Ferrari dealers Colmore undertook further services at mileages of 12,743 and 14,595. Belts were renewed by specialists MDL of West Bromwich at 19,100 miles.
The current condition of the Pininfarina-styled fixed head bodywork is described by the vendor as perfect, the same concours rating applying to the black paintwork and cream leather interior. Both the 3.2-litre 8-cylinder engine motor and 5-speed manual gearbox are reportedly in perfect order, too, as is the electrical equipment.
The 22,000 miles displayed on the odometer when entered for this sale is believed by the vendor to be the genuine total mileage for his car from new. The MOT with the car will be current until May 2004 and the tax disc will not require renewal until August. The original handbook and service wallet are included.
