Lot details Registration No: KWR 363 Chassis No: B79JN Mot Expiry: Sept 2007
Finished in grey with light blue / grey leather upholstery, this particular example is variously described by the vendor as being in "good" (interior trim), "flaking" (paintwork), "sound / original" (bodywork), "original" (wheels / tyres) or "excellent" (4257cc six-cylinder engine, four-speed manual gearbox, electrical equipment, chassis) condition. Reportedly "laid up for nearly 30 years from 1976 to 2004" and only registered with DVLA Swansea upon its re-emergence, 'KWR 363' is further understood to have had just "three previous owners". Believed but not warranted to have covered a mere 38,000 miles from new (a figure apparently confirmed by a former keeper), the Bentley is said to retain its "tool kit, handbook, foot pump and bakelite torch". Thought to have been last repainted in 1967 (save for some "touching in") and to show "no signs of welding", the four-door saloon boasts some "3p sweet wrappers in its ashtrays". Although, he considers 'KWR 363' to be "a light restoration project", the seller also informs us that the MKVI "will be driven up from Bristol". A "timewarp car", this special Bentley is offered for sale with old style logbook, MOT certificate valid until September 11th 2007 and historic class (free) road tax.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
