The Conrad brothers were the foreman and designer for Jem Marsh of Marcos fame and this car was built by them in the late 1960's.
This car pre-dates the Colin Chapman Lotus 69 Formula One car and they designed a separate chassis and body unit to decrease the unsprung weight. The engine is a 711M unit from Ford built and dated by Holbay and it is dry sumped, allegedly all steel and fitted with a Bullit gearbox. The axle is 'A' series with Watts linkage and the wheels are 8" and 10" revolutions. It has been unused for 35 years and has been dry stored during that time.
With Classic Clubmans series now in the forefront of cheap Clubmans racing this exiting, complete and highly spec'd car should be an easy rebuild and great fun and competitive when finished.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
