Royal Enfield announced a range of three machines in November 1945, two overhead valve singles, the G and the J and a 125cc two stroke based on the machine developed for use by the airborne forces during the war.
The two four stroke singles effectively differed only in capacity, the J displacing 499cc and the G as offered, displacing 346cc. A rigid frame equipped with telescopic forks and a four speed Albion gearbox which featured a means of quickly selecting neutral in the form of a secondary lever were used.
This example was restored in the late 1990s for show purposes and upon completion won many awards. It is said to be in "good" condition throughout and a DVD of the restoration accompanies the machine.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
