The Morris Minor is almost as universal a symbol of England as the London bus and the red telephone box and, with over 1.3 million manufactured in its 23-year reign, is one of the most successful cars of all time. The final iteration first appeared in 1962 and featured a further increase in engine capacity to 1098cc, a modified facia layout with recessed centre section in textured steel, a return of a glovebox lid for the passenger-side cubby hole, improved heater and more contemporary-looking front light units. This nicely-presented 1966 Convertible example was apparently thoroughly restored by the Morris Minor Centre Bath in 1989, and is these days considered by the vendor to have "good" bodywork, paintwork, interior trim, four-cylinder engine and four-speed manual gearbox. The Minor is finished in pale Blue, trimmed in Blue vinyl, reportedly 'on the button' and awaiting a new owner.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
