Lot details Registration No: BUL 377 Chassis No: D1412 Mot Expiry: Exempt
This splendidly presented three-wheeler is understood to be a genuine three owner car, and one of only three such pre-WW2 Morgans remaining. It has recently emerged from a ground-up restoration following fifty years in a leaking barn. The impractical rear seats were not refitted but the rest of this historic car is in place bar the original canvas hood (which is no longer serviceable but can act as a pattern for a replacement). The ash frame and chassis were extensively renovated and hand painted in Black, while the body was lovingly restored and treated to a bare metal respray in Blue. The thoroughly overhauled engine is the car's original water-cooled 1000cc Matchless unit, while the interior has been retrimmed by Northumbria Leather. A rare survivor ready for a new owner to enjoy.
PLEASE NOTE: Since the catalogue went to press we have been contacted by the Morgan Three-Wheeler Club who informed us that they know of almost eighty Morgan MX Family 4's which have survived to present day.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
