  • Only 28,500 miles from new (atoc)
  • Supplied new by Three Counties Garage Rover of Malvern
  • Displaying original main dealer front number plate and rear window stickers
  • Benefitting from much improvement in current ownership
  • One for the classic Rover or British car collector!

The R3 Rover 200-series was smaller than the Honda-based R8 cars, mostly necessitated by the requirement of Rover's to replace the ageing Metro. Available with a range of engines, starting at 1.1-litre petrol through to a 1.8-litre petrol, there was also the option for a turbocharged diesel and both automatic and manual transmissions. Although some elements of the previous incarnation were carried over (most notably the front structure, heater, steering and front suspension), it was, by and large, an all-new car. The seventh-best selling new car between 1996 and 1998, the popularity tailed towards the end of production but are now certainly an emerging practical classic.

Manufactured in 1999, this 214 SE is understood to have been supplied new by Three Counties Garage Rover of Malvern, being registered on the 22nd of March 1999, it is fitted with the 1.4-litre K-series straight-four engine mated to the five-speed manual gearbox. Finished in the colour combination of Hawaiian Blue Metallic paintwork with Ash Grey cloth interior upholstery, ‘T233 TUY’ has covered an incredibly low mileage of 28,500 miles from new (at time of consignment). This IS specification example is fitted with sunroof, five-spoke alloys, tailgate spoiler, and twin-cam 16-valve from factory.

The 214 IS unusually retains the original main dealer front and rear number plate and rear window sticker. ‘T233 TUY’ is offered with a stamped service book that illustrates two early service records, a large selection of MOT history, an MOT until June 2024 and a current V5C. Benefitting from bodywork improvements, a new rear silencer, cambelt change, a fix of the clock, and three services, all since the vendor's purchase in 2021, the vendor rates the Rover as 'good' throughout. One for the classic Rover or British car collector!
