We understand that this 1972-built Ducati has resided in a private collection since acquisition in Spain in 1989. A letter in the history file, which may be inspected at our documents office at the Buxton sale venue, confirms a thorough restoration by Hugh Anderson with authenticating photos included with the paperwork. This `24 Horas' has the correct petrol tank and front mudflap transfers for this model which commemorated the marque's motor sporting success in the Barcelona 24 Hours race.
Last MOTd in 1995 and currently without valid certificate, the Italian 250 has never been registered for the road in the UK, though a street legal speedo has been fitted at some time.
Following the Anderson restoration, currently, the red paint, brightwork and cycle parts as well as the 250cc single-cylinder engine are claimed to be in excellent condition with transmission and electrics reportedly also in good order. The original registration document is included.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
