Lot details Registration No: MH 1738 Chassis No: 58513 Mot Expiry: Exempt
This imposing Maroon over Black-coloured, `matching numbers' Open Drive Landaullete was apparently imported to the UK by its first keeper - a Swiss millionaire who commissioned Salmons & Son of Newport Pagnell to fashion the car's distinctive coachwork. `MH 1738' is powered by a reputedly "quiet and powerful" 2.3-litre four-cylinder Knight double sleeve-valve engine. The interior features Black leather in the driving compartment and Fawn-coloured cloth for the rear seat passengers. The car evidently completed the Tour of Brittany in 2006 without problem and has subsequently been treated to a new clutch at a cost of £3,400. The vendor currently regards the bodywork, interior trim, engine and gearbox as "very good" and the two-tone paintwork as "first class". Currently displaying an unwarranted 33,597 miles, this charming vintage motorcar comes complete with a selection of paperwork, Swansea V5, and a tax disc valid into March next year.
