Production of the 10hp Tourer, or `Little Briton', began in 1908. Its Wolverhampton-based manufacturer was initially called the Star Cycle Company, but changed its name to the Briton Motor Company on moving to a new factory the following year. The company survived until 1929, but the product on offer was manufactured in 1910 and has been the subject of much recent refurbishment. The two-seater is finished in Wine Red teamed with Brown-coloured trim. The twin-cylinder engine has been treated to new piston rings and rebalanced, the oil system renewed, and the radiator reconditioned. The tyres, hood and upholstery have all been replaced with fresh items and lighting installed. The vendor now describes the bodywork and paintwork as "good", the engine as "having had much work done", and the three-speed gearbox as "very good".
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
