This 350 SL first left the Mercedes-Benz works in Stuttgart in 1978. The right-hand drive roadster has the benefit of matching hardtop as well as soft top and wind-deflector and also has the added enhancements of Recaro seats in leather, colour-coded wheel trims, a stainless steel exhaust system and a personalised registration. Within the vehicle's documents file are all former MOT test pass certificates dating from 1984 to curent one as well as some service history.
The current condition of the two-door shell, both chassis and body panels, is described as very good, whilst yellow paintwork and trim in grey/black leather and cloth are rated as very good. The 3499cc capacity eight-cylinder motor as well as the automatic transmission are reportedly in very good order as are electrical equipment and wheels and tyres.
The 76,817 mileage displayed on the odometer when entered for this sale is believed to be the genuine total for the car from new, whilst the latest MOT will be valid until next February and the tax disc current until the end of May. The world-famous three-pointed star has deservedly come to mean a symbol of engineering excellence.
