For many years the backbone of Triumph's range, the 500cc twin-cylinder machines always offered buyers a good balance of very competitive performance combined with acceptable economy which was skillfully packaged into an easy to ride bike whether being employed for work or play.
Following the 3TA's lead, the 1959 launched T100A brought unit construction to a Triumph 500 and, though billed as a sports model, was launched with the 3TA's touring bodywork, headlamp nacelle and 'bathtub' rear end. For 1962, this model became the T100SS with more authentic and sporting-looking tinware.
Offered here is a 1962 Meriden factory-built Triumph T100A, which, in any case, has lost its bathtub and comes with non-standard, high-rise handlebars. Described by the seller as being very clean and tidy, this Tiger 500cc twin in red is reportedly very clean and tidy, and, as you will see from the guide price in the catalogue here, is not only reasonably priced, but comes with plenty of MOT test certificate time in hand.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
